Darryl and I also had the pleasure of working with Donna. She was always so sweet and was also truly interested in everything you had to say. May God bring you through your days of sorrow and may Donna rest in peace.

Jennifer --- We were sorry to hear of Donna's homegoing. We knew her well during our days at Faith Baptist Church and have many memories of her sweet smile and interest in our lives. We know that she is with the Lord and we will all see her again. She is visiting with Mark and Luke and Timothy and getting the grand tour. May God comfort your hearts!

Dear Family I was so sorry to hear of Donna's accident. I worked with for Donna at Vertis/Printco for many years. She was a very hard worker and always had that smile on her face and was always so helpful in many ways. The world was a better place with Donna in it. She will be sadly missed by all.

I couldn't believe it when I heard of Donna's passing. I worked with her for many years in the downtown Printco. She was always so friendly and kind. I saw her many times walking around Baldwin Lake. She always had time to stop and chat and catch up. Just a great lady. My condolences to her family. God Bless

Jennifer & Stanley, I was so shocked and saddened to hear of your Mother's Death. My Dad, Howard, had worked with Donna for many years at Printco (Vertis) so I knew of her when I was younger. Then when we bought our house on Fletcher Rd, I quickly realized she lived two doors down. She would always stop and chat on her way back from her walks down the road, stopping to see how we were all doing and commenting on how fast our son was growing up. She amazed me this past spring when she lost everything in the fire and how she handled it with such courage & strength. She shared with me a very touching story of her undamaged wedding picture she recovered at the end of her drive way of her & Stan even after the remains of her house was torn down & hauled away. She knew that her beloved husband was watching down on her telling her that she make it through the loss of her home. She was also so excited to show me the "PURPLE" carpet that she had chosen for her new house. She also chosen purple/lavendar walls! She was so excited to have the colors she wanted! :O) Hold tight to all the memories that you all have shared together. I had read once that grief is like being in an ocean. Sometimes the water is calm & you can swim around in peace. Other times a big wave, that you didn't see at all, will knock you down disorienting you. Some days will be fine and other will be more difficult. You will all be in our thoughts and prayers as you go through this difficult time.

Ron and Jen, you have been in my prayers. Your Mom was always very thoughtful, kind, and had a pleasant word to say. She handled the fire of her home with such strength and calmness. I know you will miss her so much. I will miss her smile and softness. She was a faithful worker with the kids at church. My heart goes out to you as I know your Mom's loss will jolt your life. May the King of Kings comfort your sad hearts. You will see her again.... With sympathy, prayers and love, Darlene

I'm picturing Donna right now, spryly walking on the trails through Tower Park, all rosey cheeked. Pastor Bob was correct when he said in the Daily News article that Donna was always a positive spirited lady; it is what I think of when I see her in my mind - her gentleness, always coming to church with Stan and Jennifer when they were young, serving, kind, humility with such graciousness...I'm not getting any other picture but that as I remember Donna. I'm very sorry to hear she is gone, yet at the same time, a smile creeps across my face as I consider her before the throne of God, hearing 'Well done, thou good and faithful servant." Wow..her eyes are twinkling now, even more than when I would see her on her walks on the trail!!!! I'm praying for you tonight, Jennifer, Stan..as you prepare for these next many days, decisions, and the work of finishing your mom's time on earth. Wow..Donna gone - absent from the body, present with the Lord...unfathomable, but true.

Ron and Jennifer we are praying that God will give you special strength and encouragement this week. Our "friend" Paul said this - "meditate on...the best...the beautiful...things to praise..." Good advice. We love you both very much.
