Owen Ownie Carvill age 77 of Gowen died Monday morning October 19, 2009 at Spectrum Health United Memorial Greenville. He was born in Detroit MI on June 29, 1932 the son of Daniel T. and Maria Murtagh Carvill. He married Jean Amick on November 10,1951. Ownie was a tax accountant , a veteran of the US Army serving in the Korean Conflict and was a member of the VFW Post of Howard City.
He was preceded in death by is daughter Dorothy Carvill and grand daughter Raechel Box, his brother Daniel and his faithful dog Sammie Davis Jr.
He is survived by his wife Jean , their children; Deborah (Brian) Osgood of Big Canoe Georgia, Daniel (Wendy) Carvill of Brimfield Ohio, Dawn (Tom) Box of Sparta, Dorene (Tim) McKibben of Lake Elmo Minnesota, Diane (Jay) Coppock of Kentwood, Donald (Margaret) Carvill and Dennis Carvill of Gowen, many grandchildren and great grandchildren and his sisters, Mary Kay Stricker and Annie Zenor and nieces and nephews.
A Family memorial service will be held at Victory Baptist Church Sand Lake with Rev. Jeff England officiating. Burial will be in Aetna Cemetery, Morley
Memorial contributions may be given to the VFW Post 3306 Howard City.
