Janne--thank you for letting me know about Anne's passing. (I am very grateful for that). She and my cousin Hiram were well-suited. I remember she referred to him as "the old gentleman"! The two of them restored Col. Hiller's house to it's beautiful condition (including the wine cellar with it's wrought iron gates that Hiram liberated from Italy and somehow brought home!) for the benefit of the whole community and historical society. I am sending my and my family's (Dan, Sally, Cindi and MaryPat) condolence to your family, and to Tom, Lida, Laura and Lovenda.

I just learned of Anne's passing. Many condolences to family from my wife Marlene and I. My mom, Harriette Hiller Bartlet and I visited our Aunt Lida in Keokuk and enjoyed visiting mom's birthplace in Kahoka where we enjoyed a wonderful family reunion and fried chicken picnic in the grassy park in front of the Hiller home on the circle in Kahoka. I was 12 in 1952 when we visitied and will be 70 come May this year. Many blessings to family.

Anne's Family. I have been gone for a number of years, but were close to Hiram and Anne when in Kahoka, Gene loved Hiram's wine cellar. You have my sympathy for your loss.
