Monte Ray Hawthorne, 45 of South Point, Ohio died Wednesday, November 4, 2009. He was born on June 9, 1964 to Patricia Webb Hawthorne of South Point and the late Bill Hawthorne. He is survived by his mother, Patricia; one daughter Laura; two sons Matthew and Austin Hawthorne of South Point, Ohio; two sisters Sarah Eldridge of South Point and Laura McCormick of Barboursville, WV.; two brothers Wes and Timmy Hawthorne of South Point; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother Scott Hawthorne, grandparents Scott and Clara Webb; Ned and Rachel Hawthorne. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, November 6, 2009 at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio. Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 7, 2009 at Goodall-Hawthorne Cemetery, Chesapeake, Ohio by David Ashworth. It's been so long since I have seen Monte but he was always a good friend to me and I am truly sorry for your great loss. I hope your happiest memories of him bring you comfort.... I believe he would want you to remember him this way.

Sorry to hear about Monte.Don't know if you remember me but I brought him up there back in 1999 to visit and see his children.My nickname is bingobob.Kirk Parker called me and told me about him passing.I worked with him and Kirk back then,always considered him a good friend.Sorry but I can't make it to the funeral,my son is coming this weekend.Hope you find peace and comfort during this hard time,through god and prayer really helps though.Once again I truely am sorry.
