Dr. William C. Ramsey, 66, of Proctorville, Ohio, died Monday, November 16, 2009 at St. Mary's Medical Center after a short illness. Dr. Ramsey was Professor Emeritus of the Marshall University English Department. He was a member of Enslow Park Presbyterian Church. Dr. Ramsey is survived by his wife, Mary Ann; daughter Ellin of Falls Church, VA, and her fiancé Sebastian Veney of Washington, DC; daughter Karen of Kansas City, MO; and son Andrew of Proctorville. The family requests that flowers be omitted. Donations may be made to the Royce K. McDonald Memorial Scholarship Fund or charity of one's choice. Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday November 19, 2009 with Service of Witness to the Resurrection to follow at 11:00 at Enslow Park Presbyterian Church, 1338 Enslow Boulevard, Huntington, WV. Hall Funeral Home Proctorville, Ohio is in charge of arrangements.

Iam truly sorry for the passing of Mr. Ramsey. His children and my Sister and Brother grew up together in the same neighborhood. I will truly miss waving at him as he passes by my moms house on the corner. I hope all of your loving memories bring you comfort in the days to come. know you are all in my thoughts.
