James Edward Orlowski

1960 - 2009

James Edward Orlowski age 49 of Lakeview died Saturday December 5, 2009 following surgery. He was born in Quantico VA on October 18,1960 the son of Edward A. and Judith K. Feutz Orlowski. He is survived by his parents of Trufant, his son Adam of Howard City, Adams mother Gail Cramer,his brothers, Jeff and Karn Orlowski and Jon and Kym Orlowski all of Greenville , his nieces and nephews Travis , Ryan, Logan , Chris and Jenny, Robert and Irena, Hayley, Seth, Mckenzie and Tatum, Boston and Lincoln. Also his grandmother Frieda Feutz Kaiser of Kent City, aunt and uncle, Alice and Del Edison of Belmont and Jim and LuAnne Feutz of Trufant.

Jim was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church of Howard City, a Ham Radio Club of Big Rapids, Lakeview Lions Club and was employed at Steelcase n Grand Rapids until he was retired thru a disability. He was able to volunteer in many areas with the Howard City Fire Department, Church fish frys and rang bells for the Salvation Army. He will be deeply missed by his many friends and family members.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday December 9, 2009 at 11 AM at St. Mary Queen of Apostles Catholic Church in Sand Lake. Burial will be in Trufant Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 7 to 9 PM at Hurst Funeral Home

I was sorry to hear of Jim's passing. I hadn't seen since we graduated from high school, but the recounting of his life sounds a lot like the kind, quiet guy I knew in high school. I'll thinking of and praying for you, the family, over the next few weeks especially. Carmen

Tom and I were absolutely shocked to hear about Jim's death. What a wonderful man; what a great friend. Even though we are now in Colorado we still talked often with Jim and kept up on his news. Please know that Jim meant a lot to us and we will miss him greatly. Also, please let Adam know that he is constantly in our thoughts. If there is anything at all that we can do to help you or Adam, please let us know. If there is a fund in Jim's name to which we can contribute, please inform us of this as well.
