1948 - 2009
Larry E. Saxton, 61, of South Point, Ohio passed away Monday December 28, 2009 in King's Daughters Medical Center. He was born December 3, 1948 in Cabell County, WV, son of Violet Saxton of Huntington, WV and the late Willard Saxton. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two brothers Mark and Mike Saxton. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife Peggy Triplett Saxton; son Brent Saxton and his wife Michele; daughter Amy Freeman and husband Josh all of South Point, Ohio; four grandchildren, Britanae Saxton, Dillon Saxton, Blaine Freeman, and Kaitlyn Chapman all of South Point; two sisters, Pamela Anderson of Huntington, WV and Lena Napier of Round O, South Carolina; two special brother-in-laws Bob Triplett of Ironton, Ohio and Lonnie Triplett of Franklin Furnace, Ohio. Larry served in the U.S. Navy as a Navy Corpsman, and was a Vietnam veteran. He retired from Special Metals in 2002. Funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday January 1, 2010 at Hall Funeral Home by Rev. Steve Williams. Burial will follow in Miller Memorial Gardens Miller, Ohio. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday December 31, 2009 at Hall Funeral Home Proctorville, Ohio. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/hall.
