So sorry to hear about the sudden passing of David. I have a lot of great memories of the times that we had at Michael Reese working together. He was a very kind person.

Dear Kathy, Micky and Jayne--I was so sorry to hear of Dave's passing. I know he has had some health-related trials in the recent past, but I was hoping you all had gotten through that. When I think of David, I always think of a photo in our senior yearbook. He was walking down the hall in the high school, carrying a giant pile of books and papers, and he had a big grin on his face. That's how I will always think of him. I have just read the messages on this condolence board. Clearly, David will be missed by many people. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Michele

He made life fun during those high school years, which can be challenging for so many of us. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Suzanne

We are very sorry to loose a good friend. Dave is the one who got us to join the Balckhawk Chapter. He was always so fun to be around and always made you feel a part of the club. He also liked our 1938 Studebaker Commander. We always looked forward to seeing him at the Zone meets andthe International meets. He was a great guy and we will miss him. We know he always kept the greasy side down.

I join the legion of Dave's friends in mourning his sudden and unexpected passing. He will be missed in so many ways, but none more than for his gentle sense of humor and good spirit. It was always comforting to know that friend Dave was just an e-mail away, several times a day. Love and condolences to his family and his extended Studebaker family.

Dear Kathy and Family, Dave was a great friend and was such an encouraging person - helping me to take over as Editor of our club publication - something he had done for 16 years. I will never forget that seemingly historic afternoon when he showed me how he produced our publication, the Starliner, at his home. Also, Dave was very good to my 11 year old son when my son attended our club meetings and functions (including him in the Christmas party raffels and meetings - etc.) I will never forget that. I will miss you Dave and my thoughts and prayers will always be with you Kathy and with your family. Don Cuddihee, Jr.

Dave served a very important job in the Upper Mississippi Valley Zone of the Studebaker Drivers Club. He was the Regional Manager for the entire state of Illinois, which includes five chapters. Besides wearing his SDC hat, he was the Blackhawk Chapters newsletter editor for 16 years, having just handed the reigns over to Don Cuddihee, Jr. He was also their Membership Director and I believe that over the years he was the glue that held their chapter together. Dave had many health issues the last few years but that did not stop him from helping with SDC auctions at the International Meets. He was our scribe while judging vehicles at the Upper Mississippi Valley Zone Meet last year. Dave was a kid within the SDC as he was only 61 years old. Daves tag line was always keep the greasy side down, who could top that advice? He will forever leave a void. If God is looking for some organizational help in heaven, his man just arrived!
