I regret that I have been unable to travel and visit with Uncle James during his illness and I send my thoughts, prayers and sympathy to everyone and my thoughts are fondly sent to his brother Uncle Tom. I would like to express a SPECIAL THANK YOU to Louise, Richard and Jimmy for the outstanding and excellent care that you provided for him. Your devoted goodness and love has been an inspiration and will certainly be long remembered. It has been (and still is) an honor to have Louise, Richard and Jimmy in the family. Uncle James truly loved and treasured the three of you. Your kind and loving acts would have certainly made aunt Dorothy (Dottie) proud. May God be with and bless all of you.

Dear Family,
Jim & Dorthy were a great encouragement to me over the years. From the time I started going to Union until I left to take a pastorate they were concerned and cared about me, my family, and minstry. Both of their smiles were infectious. When you saw one you saw the other. What a joy and a couple to imitate. I watched their faithfulness in their walk with Chrsit and ministry at Union. Oh, that we would have more to fill their place but folks like that you just don't replace.
Sincerely,
Brady "Butch" Lipscomb
