I would like to thank everyone who paid respect to my dad one way or another. Whether it was at his house, church, hospital, or the funeral home. My dad was the greatest man on earth and words cannot express how much I love and miss him. For those who don't know, he had several mini strokes and then a massive one on Feb.2 and died on Feb.5,2010. The first one and half days, he couldn't move his left side and his speech was slured but we could understand him. He knew everyone and was lying there talking about the Lord and quoting bible scriptures. He loved his family and friends and was so proud of his church family. Thank all of you for the kinds words and stories about my dad. He would be so pleased to know how much everyone cared for him and his family. Our family stands in need of prayers especially my mother whom turns 82 next month. May God bless you and your families and don't take life for granted. It is but a vapor then vanishes. Cherish every moment you have with your loved ones. Gina(Young)Gullett

My grandpa was a very good man that has struggled to be with the Lord our Saivior &to meet his friends & family. His goal was to "be with the Lord & to stay with the Lord." So that is what he did!

Our family is very sorry to hear about the passing of John. My dad, the late Walter Perry talked of him often and talked about how they grew up together on Mill Creek. John would always stop by and visit dad when he was in the area and my dad loved those visits. The Perry family would like for you to know that we will keep your family in our thoughts and prayers. May God Bless. Herb Perry and the family of Walter Perry

I was very sorry to read Rev. Young's obituary in Sunday's paper. Please accept my sincere condolences. Even though I have drifted apart from many of my younger aquaintances, I allways considered Rev. Young and his Family very good friends of mine. He will be sorely missed. Sincerely, Earl Pennington

To the family: I sent your dad a poem that goes like this and he really liked it: IF I KNEW OF A LAND IF I KNEW OF A LAND WHERE NO SORROW EVER CAME, WHERE THE WEATHER WAS JUST RIGHT AND THERE WERE NO SICK NOR LAME; WHERE THERE'D BE NO GOODBYES, AND THE PEOPLE LIVED FOR AYE, I WOULD SELL ALL I HAVE AND MOVE TODAY. IF I KNEW OF A LAND WHERE NO DARK CLOUDS EVER CAME, WHERE THE SKY WAS ALWAYS BRIGHT AND THERE'D BE NO STORM OR RAIN, WHERE OUR LOVED ONES WERE TRUE AND WOULD NOT A TRUST BETRAY, I WOULD SELL ALL I HAVE AND MOVE TODAY. IF I KNEW OF A LAND WHERE MY DREAMS WOULD ALL COME TRUE, WHERE THE THINGS OF LIFE WERE FREE AND THERE'D BE NO MORE WORK TO DO, WHERE NO WAR EVER WOULD COME AND WE'D LIVE IN PEACE FOR AYE, I WOULD SELL ALL I HAVE AND MOVE TODAY. WELL, I KNOW OF A LAND WHERE JOYS ARE WAITING, WHERE THE PEOPLE LIVE FOREVER AND FOR AYE; TWILL BE ONE ETERNAL DAY WITHOUT A SORROW, AND SOME MORNING WHEN HE CALLS, I'LL MOVE AWAY. Brother Young is there! He was my brother in the Lord. He was a very caring and compassionate person who loved the Lord. Sending my love and prayers to you. Sister Theresa McCormick

I will miss Rev.Young. He was a friend and a good neighbor. We had many good talks about many things. He always had a good story to tell you and he had a way about telling them that made you just stop and listen. I will miss those stories. I know how much he loved the Lord and that he is now singing with the angels in heaven. My sympathy to his family whom he loved so much. God Bless, Shawnda
