1955 - 2010
Curtis Salmon, 54 of South Point, Ohio went to the loving arms of Jesus on Tuesday, February 16, 2010. Curtis was born in Huntington, WV on July 17, 1955. He was a successful owner operator in the trucking industry. Curtis was a proud member of the United States Army as well as The American Legion Post 640. He also had a book published "Inspirational Highway Poem Book". Curtis was an active member of the First Southern Baptist Church in South Point where he enjoyed working with the young people and the van ministry. Curtis never met a stranger and could easily make you smile and laugh. Curtis is survived by his wife of 24 years, Lorri Salmon of South Point and his sister Barbara "Sissy" Nichols of Huntington, WV and his aunt Betty Collins of Huntington, WV. Special thanks to the VA Hospital and all those who supported and encouraged Curtis during his illness. Funeral services will be conducted 7 pm Friday, February 19, 2010 by Pastor Ricky Kirk at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio. Visitation will be 5 to 7 pm Friday, February 19, 2010 at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/hall.

LORI, Words cannot express the sorrow and grief that we feel about curtis. Curtis and you will always be considered our closet and dearest friend. We can cherrish some incrediable moments we shared many many times. Our heart are heavy but can also rejoice because curtis is in an undiscribale place called heaven and with JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD. Lorri,
You are in my prayers. Curtis has been such an inspiration to me. Even when he didn't feel good, he had a smile and a kind word. I always looked forward to seeing him and still look forward to the day when we will all be together again. I love you like a sister.

Lorri, this is Merle and Carla's daughter Mandy, I was so sorry to hear of your loss. He was such as wonderful, caring, and kind person. I know I have not saw you guys for a while, but I have many fond memories of Curtis from my childhood and he could always find a way to brighten up your day and make you smile.
