Lyle "Sonny" Lycans, 58 of Crown City, Ohio passed away Sunday, March 28, 2010 after a long illness at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington, WV. Sonny, the son of Ruth and Andy Lycans was born July 21, 1951 in Huntington, WV. He grew up in Logan, WV and served his country as a U.S. Army Soldier in Vietnam. After discharge from the Army, Sonny moved to Pikeville, Kentucky and married Patsy Charles. Sonny and Patsy had two children Madonna and Mason. Sonny was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his wife Patsy; his children Madonna Lycans Cox and Mason Lycans of Pikeville, Kentucky; his mother Ruth Lycans of Proctorville, Ohio; his sister Susan Lycans Adkins of Houston, Texas; brothers Chuck Lycans of Bonners Ferry, Idaho; Jack Lycans of Harts, WV; chosen brother Willie Damron of WV; grandchildren Ishmael May, Emily Keene, Lorin Holloway and numberous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Sonny's family would like to thank the staffs of St. Mary's Medical Center and Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House for their remarkable care of Sonny. Memorial services will be held 7 pm Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 pm Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio.
