Leslie Lee Day, 78 of Chesapeake, Ohio passed away Saturday, April 3, 2010 in St. Mary's Medical Center. He was born October 5, 1931 in Lawrence County, Ohio to the late Leon Leonard and Laura Adkins Day. He is survived by four sons Michael Day of Scottown, Ohio; Jack Day of Chesapeake, Ohio; John Day of Cocoa, Florida and Leslie William Day of Chesapeake, Ohio; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one brother Lloyd Day of Chesapeake, Ohio; two sisters Maxine Cooper of Chesapeake, Ohio; Carol Stevens of Chesapeake, Ohio. He was a retired painter and retired Minister. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio by Pastor Tom Jones. Burial will follow at Miller Memorial Gardens, Miller, Ohio. Visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio. The world has lost a genuinely humble man. I have thought often of Les and the lessons I learned from him while living on Bear Creek. I trust the family will be comforted by the assurance Les taught and preached during his ministry to other people. May God bless Les and the family.

Willy, John, Jack and Mike and Family,
Ray and I were so sorry to hear the news. All of you are like family to us. I know how hard this is and out thoughts and prayers are with you. It helps to know that he is in Heaven with no pain. We will miss him. He was a wonderful friend to Dad and Mom.
