MELISSA JOHNSON
Wednesday May 19, 2010 at 12:23 AM

My mother was a loving and caring person who wanted nothing but the best for her children but also excepted that from them also. At times I felt I failed my mother but I always tried my best to let her know how much I loved her. I recently suffered a nervous break down over many things going on in my life and did not spend as much time in the end with her and I do regret that but I believe my mother know I loved her. Nothing in this world can prepare you for the loss of your mother especially one like mine. I hope that she is now at peace and no longer in pain. My tears and depression are only selfish personal issues related to my overwhelming loss. I pray that my entire family makes peace in their own way with her passing. I will do my best to honor her memory with doing the things in life that would make her proud. I will always love and miss my mommy. God bless everyone who helped care for her over the years of her chronic illness.

Tears came to my eyes as soon as I read this obit. Shirley And I grew up in Athalia .Along with her sister Janet and all the kids in Athalia at that time, we were like sisters and brothers. Itso hard . , I remember the violets we picked and sold to the ladies , the many times we played Avon Lady . etc. We were always in the same class at school in Proctoville, same church in Athalia. all those memories. Love to you Janet....Dianna
