Merica was my babysitter when I was a young girl growing up on Highlawn Ave. She and Teresa always watched out for me. I enjoyed running into her on my trips home to Huntington. She will be greatly missed. My prayers go out to her family.

To Christy and Aimee: Girls, I knew your mother back when you girls were just babies. I bowled with Merica and your Dad Eddie on the Independent Six league for several years. Both Merica and Eddie were so much fun to be around. Merica was absolutely beautiful inside and out. Both of your parents thought the sun rose and set in you girls. Later in years I was heart broken to hear of their divorce, but I do know they loved you girls and wanted noting but the very best for you. My condolences go out to you. Merica Lowe Roberts, 56 of Proctorville, Ohio passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at St. Mary's Medical Center, Huntington, WV. She was born February 6, 1954 in Huntington, WV to the late Charles and Lorena Sargent Lowe. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother Charles L. Lowe. She is survived by her husband Rick Roberts; five daughters Christy Roberts of Huntington, WV, Aimee Roberts of Huntington, WV, Larisa Roberts of Huntington, WV, Katie Gillispie of Milton, WV and Mariah Roberts of Proctorville, Ohio; seven grandchildren Tevin, Mason, Austin, Baden, Kaden, Ayden and Aleaha; one sister Teresa Spence of Huntington, WV. She was an employee of Humana. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday, May 21, 2010 at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio by Dr. Ricky Ray. Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Memorial Park, Huntington, WV. Visitation will be held 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 20, 2010 at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio.
