Thomas E Sowards Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1925 - 2010 Thomas E. Sowards, 84, of Proctorville, Ohio passed away Saturday May 29, 2010 at home. He was born December 18, 1925 in West Virginia to the late David Wilson and Lula Virginia Colegrove Sowards. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Betty Sowards; one brother David Wilson Sowards; and three sisters Mary Icantha Waugh, Neva Iris Gibson, and Myra Gluff. He is survived by four children, Tommy Sowards of Proctorville, Brenda (Jim) Mann of Proctorville, Connie (Steve) Thomas of Newark, Delaware, and Paul (Sherri) Sowards of Proctorville; grandson Spencer Thomas, two granddaughters Brittney Sowards and Krista (Adam) Brown; great granddaughter Addison Brown. He was a member of Finley Methodist Church, Proctorville VFW Post #6878, American Legion Post #16, and NRA. Funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday June 3, 2010 at Hall Funeral Home by Pastor Brent Gibson. Burial will follow in Miller Memorial Gardens Miller, Ohio. Proctorville VFW Post #6878 will conduct military graveside rites. Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday June 2, 2010 at Hall Funeral Home Proctorville, Ohio.
