Marlin O. Nichols, 80 of Crown City, Ohio passed Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at home. He was born July 8, 1929 to the late Grover and Janie Nichols. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Raylene Nichols; grandson Tyler Nichols; three brothers Russell, Earl and Virgil Nichols; one sister Janice Sims. Marlin leaves behind three sons Mike Nichols of Ashland, KY, special daughter Robin Nichols of Crown City, Ohio; Mitch (Cathy) Nichols of Huntington, WV, Mickey Nichols of Huntington, WV; two grandsons he thought the world of Michael Nichols of Crown City, Ohio, Zac (Ashley) Nichols of New London, Ohio; brothers Bill (Norma) Nichols, Bobby (Mary Alice) Nichols and Ernie (Marie) Nichols; sisters Alice Jack, Arlie (Glen) Ramey and Juanita Dillon; extended family Pam and Scooter Davis and son Grayson, Darlene and Danny Spears, Katie and Chase Trimble and Denny Lowe. Marlin was a true farmer at heart. He retired from Operating Engineers Local 18 after 30 years. He was proud to have served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #536 F& AM Crown City, Ohio. He was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason and a member of the Beni Kedem Shrine. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, June 4, 2010 at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville Ohio by Pastor Jerry Galloway. Burial will follow in Miller Memorial Gardens, Miller, Ohio. V.F.W. Post 6878, Proctorville, Ohio will conduct military graveside rites. Visitation will be held 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, June 4, 2010 at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio with Masonic Rite Service to be conducted at 10:45 a.m. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/hall.

Nichols Family So sorry to hear about Marlin- knew him from all the years living in the Narrows and Dad enjoyed talking with him at Dj's when he picked uphis newspaper. He will surely be missed -seeing him drive up and down the road. God Bless You All! Luther White and Family.
