Barb was my best friend and a grandmother to my daughter. She blessed our lives for eight beautiful years, and I have so many memories of times we spent together and the almost daily phone calls. I can hear her laugh and unique voice, see her smile, and taste her chicken and dumplings. When Barb would visit, she would get up every morning to make cinnamon toast and coffee for me and Faith. It was our little ritual, but those were some of the best times. Barbara became a part of my family in South Georgia, and we all adored her. I am thankful for every minute God gave me with as my husband describes "one of the coolest grandmothers I've ever met who has earned who spot in heaven". My heart aches and I grieve because I want to be able to call her and see her, but I know without a doubt that I will see her again in heaven. I bet she'll have a beautiful flower garden all around her mansion.

Barbara was like a second mother to me and my family when I was a young announcer at WEMM. I also emceed concerts for her at the Paramount. We had lots of laughs, some tears, and many prayers and hugs. And oh yes, she fed me well!! I am sorry to hear of her passing. I did not find out until the services were over or I certainly would have been there. I know your loss is great and Barbara is now with her beloved Sonny singing with Jesus! My love to you all.

Barbara Ann was my close friend for at least 68 of our 74 years. She was the nearest thing I had to a sister and one of the most "upbeat" people I've ever known. We shared tons of memories and tons of laughter. I will miss her greatly. My condolences and prayers to Wes, Tony and their families and to all the Morrison family.
