 Doris Sprouse Strider, 78, of 420 Clark Ave., Franklinville, died Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at her residence.
Funeral Services, 3:00 PM, Saturday, Loflin Funeral Home Chapel, Ramseur.
Officiating, Rev. Timothy Jordan.
Burial, Franklinville United Methodist Church, Franklinville.
She was a native of Richmond County and a member of Panther Creek Baptist Church. She retired from the food industry with Food World and Harris Teeter as Assistant Manager after 33 years of service.
Survivors: Husband, William "Bill" Strider, of the home, Sons, William A. "Butch" Strider and wife Dena of Asheboro, Gary McGraw of Padre Island, TX, Sisters, Emily Thompson and husband Leroy of Asheboro, Shirley Comer and husband Vernon of Westmore, three grandchildren.
Visitation, 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Saturday, Loflin Funeral Home, Ramseur.
Arrangements by Loflin Funeral Home, Ramseur.

Im so sorry to hear about Doris, I am so glad I called and got to speak to her one more time, I was worried. I really enjoyed getting to know Doris and always looked forward to her coming to see me when she was at Randolph. Bill, You take care and we are here if you need us,

My heart hurts to hear about Doris. I worked with her at Food World and she taught me so much. I owe her a debt of gratitude for believing in me and teaching me. But more than that, she was a true friend. Bill and Butch, I will keep you close in my heart and remember you in my prayers.

Aunt Doris,
I miss you so much already! You are such a wonderful person! Everyone that had the chance to meet you loved you and thought that you were a wonderful person!
