1928 - 2010
Roy A. Shank, Jr., 82 of Huntington, WV. passed away Saturday, July 10, 2010 at the Hospice House of Huntington, Huntington, WV. He was born January 29, 1928 to the late Roy A.Shank, Sr. and Lilly Mae Scott Shank. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son Steven Shank; one brother Vernon Lee Shank. He is survived by his wife of 63 wonderful years Lillian Coyle Shank; one grandson Jason Shank; one granddaughter Stacy Russell; four great grandchildren Harley and Hunter Shank, John Paul Shank and Brandie Russell; two sisters Marjorie Ray of New Port Richie, FL, Juanita Adkins of Huntington, WV.; one brother Ernest Lee Shank of Barboursville, WV.; numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. He was a retired train master from CSX. He was a graduate of the University of Hard Knock. He was a WWII Navy Veteran and a lifetime member of the DAV. Graveside services will be held 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at Burlington Greenlawn Cemetery, South Point, Ohio by Dr. Larry Bailey. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Huntington or one's favorite charity. Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio is in charge of arrangements.
