Cecil Lawrence Hackworth, of South Point, Ohio, born November 3, 1937, died July 21, 2010. He was preceded in death by his mother Goldie Hackworth Howard, father Clarence Hackworth Sr., and four brothers, Clarence Hackworth Jr., Frank Hackworth, William Hackworth, and Tom Hackworth, as well as two sisters, Patricia and Virginia Hackworth all of South Point. He is survived by wife Virginia Mayenschein Hackworth; four children, Lori Donahoe (Murl) of South Point, Cecil Shan Hackworth (Loretta) of South Point, Casey Hackworth (Brandy) of South Point, and Jason Hackworth (Heather) of Naples, FL; two brothers Donald Hackworth of South Point and Charles Hackworth of South Point. Cecil has eight grandchildren, Christopher,Brittany, Casey D. Danielle, Heather, Christopher, Gracie, and Johnny; stepdad Dave Howard; many nieces and nephews, great brothers and sisters-in-law and very special mother-in-law Betty Mayenschein; along with a host of friends. Cecil was an active member of New Beginning Apostolic Church in Huntington, WV. Funeral service will be conducted 12:00 Noon Saturday July 24, 2010 at New Beginning Apostolic Church by Pastor T.D.Mills. Burial will follow in Burlington Greenlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour before the service on Saturday at the church. Hall Funeral Home Proctorville, Ohio is in charge of arrangements.
