1941 - 2010
Rev. Charles "Charlie" Hardy, 68, of Chesapeake, Ohio went to be with the Lord on Saturday August 14, 2010 at home. Charlie was born October 10, 1941 in Chesapeake, Ohio, son of the late Issac and Cora Baise Hardy. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters. Charlie was retired from Lowe's, was a member of the Lucinda United Baptist Church, was an ordained minister, and was on the Presbyterian Board of Centerpoint Association. Charlie is survived by his wife Patty "Pat" Stephens Hardy; two sons, James (Tammy "Darling") Hardy of Chesapeake, and Darrel Hardy of Chesapeake; three grandchildren, Courtney, Andrew, and Melissa; one great granddaughter, CaMiyah Montgomery; one sister, Mary Cregut of Huntington; brother-in-law, Steve (Barbara) Stephens; sisters-in-law, Mary Watters, Charlett (Danny) Townsend, Donna (Donald) Massie, Juanita Hardy, and Barbara Hardy; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be conducted at 11 A.M. Tuesday August 17, 2010 at Lucinda United Baptist Church by Pastor James Dailey and Pastor Roger Smathers. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 9 P.M. Monday August 16, 2010 at Hall Funeral Home and one hour before service on Tuesday at the church.
