My prayers and thoughts are with Herman's family at this stressful time. I have known Herman since he was a small child when I attended the one-room schoolhouse at Scottown. He was a fine, well behaved boy then and I'm sure he was a fine neighbor, husband and father in his adult years. Again, my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Sorry to hear about you loss, here is a poem that helped us that I wanted to share with you.
God saw you there getting tired, and a cure was not to be found. He put his arms aroung you and whispered "Come to me". With tears we watched you suffer and saw you fade away, although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating with beautiful eyes at rest, God broke our hearts to prove to us that he only takes the best. A million times we needed you, a million times we've cried, if love alone could of saved you, you would have never died. In life we loved you dearly, in death we love you still, in our hearts you hold a place no one else can ever fill. It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didnt go alone, for a part of our hearts with you the day God took you home.
