To the family of Ms. Maggard: Please accept my deepest condolences regarding her passing. I am a grandson of her sister, Pluma Wright. All of Pluma's children have now passed and I receive very little news from Proctorville, except through my Aunt, Betty Callicoat. Apologies for the tardiness of this message.

So often, when a family has seen their loved one suffering so long, and they can see the discomfort on their face, when that loved one passes, they often just relax and, with their last breath, their mouth may just form an "O" of sorts..."_They" say, that loved one is saying "Ohhh..." while first beholding the wonders of eternal rest in Christ and Heaven, theirs for Eternity..." I knew Loray as a Saint, a Mother and a wife..I wish I had gotten to know her as a grandma..what her grandkids and great grandkids called her...what they could expect from her..what they did to make her laugh and to "rile" her a little... But those are those very special memories they will have for themselves..Precious Memories! My Love to all...Jane Dillon Davis

Brenda and Linda, I was so sorry to hear about your mother. So was always so good to me. Her and your Dad both. They were fine people and good neighbors for our family. They will be missed, people like that are the backbone of our area and we need more like them. You are in our prayers.

Lil Mrs. Loray always had a smile. What a precious lady. Your family was so blessed to have such a sweet mother.I am sure you will miss her so much. I know Mrs.Loray is in a better place and she missed her husband so much she would always speak of him. God is our refuge and Our strength and He gives us a precious gift of memories that will help you get through the days ahead. I was so blessed to know Mrs.Loray and I will remember your family in my prayers.
