1934 - 2010
Garret Dayton Wilmoth, 76, of Proctorville, Ohio, passed away Friday August 27, 2010 in St. Mary's Medical Center. Garret was born January 9, 1934 in Valley Fork, WV, son of the late Ray and Dorotha Janet Hanshaw Wilmoth. In addition to his parents, Garret was also preceded in death by first wife, Ruth E. Wilmoth. Garret was retired from Owens Illinois and was an active member of the Highlawn Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife, Bernice King Palmer Wilmoth; three daughters, Debby Davidson of Huntington, WV, Lisa (David) Hosey of Lawrenceville, GA, and Susan (Tim) Hager, of Proctorville, OH; three grandchildren, Elizabeth Davidson, David L. Hosey III, and Ethan Dayton Hosey; two brothers, Ray J. (Gloria) Wilmoth of Barboursville, WV, and Bennie Joe (Wanda) Wilmoth of Ivy Dale, WV; sister, Irene (Jack) Lemley of Proctorville, OH; several nieces and nephews and friends. Graveside service will be conducted 1 P.M. Monday August 30, 2010 at Miller Memorial Gardens by Minister Dearl Hutchison. Visitation will be 11:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. Monday August 30, 2010 at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to Highlawn Church of Christ, 27th St. and Latulle Ave., Huntington, WV 25702. Bernice & family: I'm so sorry for your loss, Garret was a wonderful person and I wish I could've known him longer. I know he's in a much better place and he'll be solely missed by his church family and a lot of people. May GOD bless you and the family

I will always remember Garret's sense of humor. He was a great man who loved his family and God. He will be missed greatly by his friends at Highlawn Church of Christ. My condolences to his wife Bernice and all of his family. Although we are sad to lose him, I am sure Heaven is rejoicing.
