George E. Jenkins, 76, of Pedro, Ohio passed away Monday, August 30, 2010 at home. He was born May 14, 1934 in Huntington, WV to the late George A. and Corbie Jenkins. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one grandson Joseph E. Jenkins; one granddaughter Shannon Dishman; one sister Mary Murnahan and one brother Charles Jenkins. He is survived by five daughters Faye Bays of South Point, Ohio, Debora Casey of Milton, WV., Karen (Donald) Pennington of Huntington, WV., Phillippa McComas of Chesapeake, Ohio and Carmen (Bob) Bowles of Coal Grove, Ohio; one son George E. Jenkins, Jr. of Proctorville, Ohio; 14 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; two sisters Minnie Hilgenberg of Ironton, Ohio and Virginia (Ray) Burcham of Scottown, Ohio; several nieces and nephews; and special friend Frances Saddler. He retired from Dayton Malleable. He also retired from River Valley Health Systems. He attended City Mission Church, Ironton, Ohio. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday, September 2, 2010 at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio by Pastor Jeff Cremeans and Rev. James Cremeans. Burial will follow Locust Grove Cemetery, Willow Wood, Ohio. Visitation will be held 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio.
