James Hagley, 84, born on July 31, 1926 in Scottown, Ohio died September 5, 2010 at Holzer Medical Center Gallipolis, Ohio. He served in the Army during the Korean War and he was a retired diesel mechanic from Chesapeake and Ohio Railroad. He was preceded in death by his mother Minnie Brown Clonch, father James Hagley, and wife Ellen Short Hagley. He is survived by five children, son James Roger Hagley and wife Pam of Ashland, KY, daughter Cindi Hagley and partner Peggy Miller of California, son Raymond Hagley of Chesapeake, Ohio, son Richard Hagley and wife Tonya of Chesapeake, Ohio, and son Robert Hagley and wife Sherri of Barboursville, WV; grandchildren, Kayla Hagley Bradshaw, Nikki and Mackenzie Hagley of South Carolina formerly of Flatwoods, KY, and Robby Hagley of Barboursville, WV. Funeral service will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Wednesday September 8, 2010 by Pastor D.L. Webb. Burial will be in Rome Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12 to 1 p.m. Wednesday September 8, 2010 at Hall Funeral Home Proctorville, Ohio. VFW Post #6878 will conduct military rites.
