John Harris Beres, 83 of Huntington, WV loving father and husband passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at home after a long illness . He was born April 29, 1927 in Daisy Town, PA to the late John H. and Anna M. Bartko Byers. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one daughter Anna Marie Beres. He is survived by his wife of 43 years Betty Jo Johnson Beres; four daughters Marie Holmes and husband Billy Holmes of South Point, Ohio, Diana Lowery of King, NC, Eleanor and Roger Whitaker of Winston Salem, NC, Carol and Robert Plumley of Mount Hope, WV; grandson Benjamin Holmes of Ashland, KY; special friend of the family Angela Pennington of Charlotte, NC. He was a World War II Veteran serving in the Army. Graveside service will be held 3 p.m. Friday, September 10, 2010 at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, WV by Jim Whaley.
