Donald Eugene Taylor, 86, of Proctorville, Ohio passed away Sunday, September 12, 2010 at the Hospice House of Huntington. He was born May 30, 1924 in East Liverpool, Ohio to the late Lewis S. and Elizabeth Gilkerson Taylor. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother Bill Taylor. He is survived by his wife Ruth Osborne Taylor; one son Michael E. (Leanne) Taylor of Huntington, WV; one daughter Kathleen E. Taylor of Augusta, GA; four grandchildren Grace Little DiGiacomo of Augusta, GA, Cassandra Little Seltzer of Atlanta, GA, Michael E. Taylor, Jr. of South Point, Ohio and Timothy Taylor of Huntington, WV and six great grandchildren. He was a member of American Legion Post 93, Kenova, WV. He was a Life Member V.F.W. Post 9738, Guyandotte, WV. He was a member of Legion of Honor, Charleston, WV. He was a member of local DAV Chapter #2. He was a Past Master of Proctorville Masonic Lodge 550 F & A M. He was a member of Beni Kedem Shrine, Charleston, WV and a member of the Scottish Rite, Huntington, WV. He retired from Houdaille Industries. He was an Army Veteran serving in World War II. There will be no services. The family requests memorial donations be made to Shriners Childrens Hospital or Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington. To: Ruth, Mike, and Micheal. I know how hard it is to loose a loved one a husband and a parent because i have losed my husband and mom in the passed 4years. Im very sorry you losed Donald he was a great man. Everyone loved him and appreciate him for eveything he did. You all might not remember me but i was the one who took care of Maxine and Bill Taylor. I was there when Donald lossed his mom and Bill. Im sorry about your lost but life will go on it moght be hard but Donald would have wanted it that way. From, Alice and Family
