Worked with Lisa a few years ago. She was a pleasure to work with.We worked at the Fruth Pharmacy store in Proctorville, Ohio. I never knew she was ill.But I know she is in a better place and she will be missed. Linda Walters

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. Lisa was an amazing lady. I know the feeling to lose a loved one who is so young. I wish I could have been there for your family, but I just found out. I'm very sorry for your loss. There's no words I can say that will be comforting at this time, but I just want you to know I have some really fond memories of growing up together in this hollow, time goes by to quickly, sometimes it seems like just yesterday. Lisa J. Burd, 40, of Crown City, Ohio passed away Friday September 24, 2010 in the Hospice House of Huntington. She was born March 25, 1970 in Huntington, WV daughter of Edward L. and Evelyn J. Carpenter Ferris of Proctorville. In addition to her parents, she is survived by two sons Jeffery Burd and Cory Ray Burd; one daughter Kali Dawn Anderson; two grandchildren; and one brother Edward L. Ferris Jr.; grandmother Clemie Carpenter of Huntington, WV; fiance David Anderson; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. The family would like to express a special thanks to Hospice of Huntington. Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday September 26, 2010 at Hall Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Langdon Cemetery Chesapeake, Ohio. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday September 26, 2010 at Hall Funeral Home Proctorville, Ohio. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/hall.
