Nellie Eileen Watson, 88, of Crestview, FL formerly of Crown City, Ohio, beloved wife, mother and grandmother went to be with her Heavenly Father September 24, 2010 at her daughter's home. She was born May 18, 1922 in Crown City, Ohio to the late Roy Delbert Williams and Edith (Berry) Williams. She was a member of the Forest Glen United Brethren Church. Nellie retired after 11 years of dedicated service in the Fairland School District as a custodian. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Olaf Ray Williams. She leaves behind her husband of 72 years, Ernie Albert Watson of Crestview, FL; four daughters and sons in law Elsie Barnes of Nicholasville, KY, Rose Mary and Dick Balmer of Ironton, OH, Virgie Hamrick of Lambertville, MI and Edith and Thomas Giovanini of Crestview, FL; 8 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild and many friends and neighbors. Nellie has three surviving sisters Ruth Martin and Geraldine Fulks of Crown City, OH and Maudell Thompson of Burlington, OH. Funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, October 2, 2010 at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio by Rev. Meredith Turley. Burial will follow in Miller Memorial Gardens, Miller, Ohio. Visitation will be held 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, October 1, 2010 at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio. Donations can be made to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation, 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509, New York, NY 10018 (or) Covenant Hospice, 370 Redstone Drive, Crestview, FL 32536. Dear family, So sorry to hear of your loss. May God be with you & comfort you in your times of sorrow. Will always remember her, coming to Five Mile Church when I was just a young girl. She has now went to join the angels. How happy she must be...
