1943 - 2010
 Thomas Jefferson Murphy, Jr. 67, of Huntington, WV. passed away Thursday, October 14, 2010 at home. He was born April 27, 1943 in Cabell County, WV. A son of the late Alice Murphy and Thomas Murphy, Sr. He was married in 1964 to Penny Murphy who passed away in 1988. They had one son, Duane Edward Murphy who married Robin Corns of Huntington, WV. Thomas had one granddaughter, Hannah Marie Murphy who was born in 2000. Thomas was an accomplished musician, guitar player and will be sadly missed by his remaining family who includes, Duane, Robin, Hannah, Frank, Warren, Rosie, Osie May and Sonya Murphy Wolford. Siblings included Frank Murphy, Charles Crager, Lawrence (Fluter) Crager, Ileen Damron, Ossie Daniels and Lucille Murphy all of Huntington, WV. We will love and miss you "Pop". A memorial service will be held Thursday, October 21, 2010 at his home 1648 Madison Avenue Huntington, WV. Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio is in charge of arrangements. It's been nine years... Nine long hard years without you. Papaw, in 25 days I'll be 18, along way from 10. I miss your hugs, your laugh, your jokes, everything about you, and of course all the joy you brung to my life. I haven't cried for you in awhile due to the fact I know you're with Mamaw Penny now, and you're in a much better place, I'm just a little jealous... But seeing the condolences messages the 5 people left you nine years ago for the FIRST time hit home tonight.. I just miss your soul and always will, Rest In Peace my first friend, my grandfather, AND a heck of a guitar player. -Love you always, you're only granddaughter ??

Robin I am So Sorry to hear about Pop's Death through a Friend that Stopped By, I would of sure been there for you if i had Known he had passed, Pop was my man I loved Him Dearly, I was so Sad when i found out that he passed away and i didn't get to give my condolences..Please except them now he is walking with My Angel Mommy on the Streets of Gold..Pop I Love YOU and I will MISS YOU Forever and a Day .Until we Meet Again may God Hold you in the Palms of his Hands..God Bless you Robin and Hannah your in my THOUGHTS & PRAYERS....I LOVE YOU ALL..KAY CREMEANS.

TOM,best guitar player with the touch of music like no other.when we had our music group together we would not got anywhere without Tom! May God Bless him with a job in that big Gospel Group in Heaven.Rest in Peace Tom.
