Helen Mae FaulknerHelen Mae Akers Faulkner, born February 18, 1934, the widow of Arlen Ray Faulkner, was reunited with him and her Lord on October 17, 2010 after a brief stay at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Helen was the daughter of Cecil and Mildred Canterbury Akers, and the daughter-in-law of Irvin and Irene Faulkner. She is survived by two daughters, Shawn M. Jones and Susie (Doug) Eavenson; four granddaughters, Amy Faulkner, Whitney Faulkner, Allison Jones, and Megan Thacker; and two step-grandchildren Jason and Tessa Eavenson. Helen was preceded in death by a brother, Cecil Akers Jr., and three sisters, Annabelle Duty, Florence Turner, and Betty Carrico. She is also survived by a brother, Paul Akers, two sisters, Pauline (Bud) Adkins and Doris Meyer; two brothers-in-law, Gordon and Larry Faulkner, as well as many nieces and nephews. Helen was retired from Stone & Thomas where she was an Elizabeth Arden representative. The family would like to express their gratitude for all the love and support of our family and friends during her illness. Friends may visit the family on Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the home of Susie and Doug Eavenson. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at Hall Funeral Home Proctorville, Ohio with a visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. Minister Brad Poe of the Rome Church of Christ will conduct the service after which she will be laid to rest at the Rome Cemetery.
