1919 - 2010
Gladys G. Smith, 91, of Proctorville, Ohio went to be with the Lord on Monday November 1, 2010 at home. She was born August 13, 1919 in Ward, WV, daughter of the late Jake G. and Anna M. Cline Ball. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert "Dick" L. Smith; brother Harold Ball; and grandson Jason Chapman. She was a member of Huntington First Church of Nazarene. Gladys is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Patricia and Wetzel Ferguson of Huntington, WV; grandchildren Melissa Jewell (Joseph) of Tucson, AZ, Amy Ferguson of Huntington, WV, Kevin Ferguson (Amiee) of East Lynn, WV; two great grandchildren Kenda Craig and Trae McClellan; two brothers Eugene "Bud" Ball of Alum Creek, WV and Donald Ball of Proctorville; two sisters Genevieve Lyon of Huntington and Shirley Smith of Wooster, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends. Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Thursday November 4, 2010 at Hall Funeral Home by Brother Dallas Moore and Brother Robert Weaver. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens Barboursville, WV. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday November 4, 2010 at Hall Funeral Home Proctorville, Ohio. Pat and family we are so sorry for your loss and we are praying for the family. I can't attend due to having to work, but I am thinking of you at this time and if you need anything let me know. I will surely miss her and will think of her everytime I pass the house.
