I was completely shocked to learn of Darlene's passing. I have many fond memories of Darlene from my childhood. She was a babysitter to me and my sisters one summer, and I know she learned more about us Jack girls than she probably wanted to know! She was a very good friend and had a smile that would brighten any room. Darlene was a beautiful person both inside and out and I know will be missed by all who knew her, but especially those closest to her. This scripture passage has been a comfort to me many times and I hope it will bring comfort to those who are mourning this great loss: "But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethern, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those sleep in Jesus. For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord." 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17 We'll be keeping the whole family in our prayers during this difficult time. Love to all, Susan (Jack) Heinz

To Darlene's Family - we were so saddened to hear of Darlene's passing. It was just a few weeks ago we were able to visit with her and have her remind of us the Fuller Christmas Party. What we remember the most is the smile Darlene always had on her face regardless of what kind of day she was having. You all are in our thoughts and prayers......God Bless each of you! Love, Derby, Janet, Deanna, Billy, & Lucas

Lisa and Kelly - I was very sadden to hear of Darlene's passing. Living away from the area, I was not aware of the health issues she faced, but talking with her this past year, I was really hopeful she was getting better. As kids, I remember going with my Mom and Dad to Rusty and Betty's house, playing with Lisa, Darlene, and Kelly. We had such fun. I am lucky to have such memories. You all try to take comfort is some of the memories you have during this difficult time.

Darlene was my best friend since kindergarden and she was the sweetest woman with a heart of gold. We have stayed in touch throughout the years. I would always come to Proctorville to visit family this time of year and would stop and see her. The last time I came into town was the only time that she was not home. I feel so sad knowing that I can't pick up the phone or come for a visit anymore. We always talked about Megan, Andrew and Rog.We caught up on all the family news and boy did we laugh. The world is a darker world for me without her in it. I will see her again someday and I am looking forward to that reunion. Until then rest in peace my dearest friend.
