James Dillard Bowman Jr., 85, of Huntington, WV, went to be with the Lord Friday November 12, 2010 at Huntington Health and Rehabilitation Center. Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday November 14, 2010 at Rome Cemetery Proctorville, Ohio with Rev. Arlie Turner officiating. He was born August 2, 1925 the son of the late Dillard and Marie Bowman. He was a Navy veteran in WWII and a life member of Elks Lodge #313 of Huntington. He worked many years in Huntington, WV as an automobile salesman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Rosalie Bowman, Juanita McCartney, Evelyn Barbour, and Wanda Azzala. He is survived by a son David Updyke (Debra) Bowman of Claremore, OK; a daughter Anita Fitzpatrick and Bart Olenik of Seven Hills, Ohio; two grandchildren, Deidra Bowman and Sara Fitzpatrick; brother Ron (Diane) Bowman; sister Doris Bowman; and several nieces and nephews.
