The Mitchell Family: We've known the Mitchell's ever since I was a little girl. My dad, Victor Vukorpa and Gene have been best friends since they were teens. My husband Jurgen and I send our deepest condolences on Katie's passing. She and I just reconnected, as she came to my bridal shower in 2006 and recently acknowledged our new baby girl from Guatemala. God bless all of you and you are in my prayers. Some of my earliest and enjoyable memories are of the fun I had as a boy running all around Katie and Gene's house and neighborhood. Katie was such a true friend of everyone she met, even us wild little hellions. My most heartfelt condolences goes out to Gene, Gary, Rick, Jerry and the entire Mitchell family. God Bless you all! Until we meet again Katie... thank you for all the love and smiles!
