Ruby Marilda Wilkes Buckner, 94, of Proctorville, Ohio widow of Colonel Dodd Buckner went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 26, 2010 in the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington, WV. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents Rev. Elton and Eva Wilkes; son-in-law Larry Ernest Williams; two brothers Lloyd Wilkes and Kenneth Wilkes; three sisters Naomi Fisher, Violet Danford and Audrey Fetty. She is survived by two daughters Karen Sue Williams and Sharon (Dwight) Adkins; one son Richard Dodd (Janey) Buckner ; four grandchildren Regina (Shawn) Day, Richelle (Ben) Greer, Larry Stephen Williams and Mark Allen (Tiffanie) Buckner; three great grandchildren Ceana Riley, Gavin Greer and Dalton Day; one brother Paul Marvin (Shirley) Wilkes; several nieces and nephews; a friend of the family for many years Betty Holley; and a special care taker Ida Mae Langham. She was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church, formerly a member of Riverview United Methodist Church. She was a former employee of Mattress and Mackey, Inc. We wish to thank Sisters In Christ from New Hope United Methodist Church for remembering our mother with special gifts for special holidays. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio by Rev. Charles Phillip Wilson. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, Ohio. Visitation will be held 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, November 29, 2010 at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, 3100 Staunton Road Huntington, WV. 25702.
