Thelma Kay BryantThelma Kay Bryant, 57, of Coal Grove, Ohio was called home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital, Ashland, KY. She was born February 24, 1953 in Harts, WV to her mother and father, the late Ruby and Wallace Bryant. She was also preceded in death by several brothers and two sisters Clyde Bryant, Pete Edward Bryant, Flora Carter and Laurie Adams. Thelma Kay was the devoted, loving wife and life partner of 34 years to Ira Kendall Bryant and devoted mother to three sons David Bryant of Scottown, Ohio, Avery (Misty) Bryant of Kitts Hill, Ohio and Clayton Bryant of Coal Grove, Ohio. Kay was also a wonderful grandmother to her seven grandchildren, who were always the twinkle in her eyes Cadance, Kyle, Peyton and Andrew Bryant, Kiersten, Kyle and Ethan. Thelma Kay was also survived by one brother Wallace (Victoria) Bryant, Jr. of Alabama; nine sisters Myrtle (Gary) Collins of Cleveland, Ohio, Anette (Jaime) Martinez and Geneva Bryant of Scottown, Ohio, Carmella Bryant Edwards, Lawanna Spurlock and Bertha (John) Allen of Proctorville, Ohio, Arnett (Jerry) Williams of Olive Hill, KY, Eva (Gary) Workman of Crown City, Ohio and Sharon Bryant of South Point, Ohio. She is also survived by five brothers- in- law and four sisters- in- law Delmer (Charlotte) Bryant of Plain City, Ohio, Odell (Sandy) Bryant of Ocala, Florida, Ira Joe (Jeannette) Bryant, Delano (Mary) Bryant, Christina (James) Gorby and Roy (Pid) Bryant of Scottown, Ohio, Barbara Sue (John) Bias of Chapmanville, WV, Carol (Bennie) Adams of Harts, WV and Pamela (Tom) Bradley of Proctorville, Ohio. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews along with several cousins and was deeply loved and will be missed by all. The family would like to express a special thank you to her caregiver, Molly Davis and all the staff of Fresenius Dialysis Center in Chesapeake, Ohio and Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Ashland, Kentucky. Funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. Sunday, December 5, 2010 at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio by Pastor Steve Williams and Pastor Gordon Simpson. Burial will follow in Miller Memorial Gardens, Miller, Ohio. Visitation will be held 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, December 4, 2010 at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio. my grandma was the best person i knowed she loved and cared about me i will always love and care about her she was the person i called when i needed advice and if i was angry she always had the words to make me feel better and she will always be in my heart so i hpe god will take care of her till i get there keep her in your prayers thanks

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. She will most certainly be missed. I used to work at the Dialysis Center and became quite close to her along with several other's. May God be with you in your time of need. Remember that she would want you to be and rejoice in her going to be with the Lord.

Kay was a great grandmother although she was just my step-grandmother, she was just like a real one. She was very nice and I have alot of good memories of her. I miss her a lot and she will always be in my memories.

Kendall, David, Avery & Clayton and the family of Kay: I'm truly sorry for the loss of Kay. She was truly an inspiration to me and I loved her very much. I pray that God will give you all the comfort that she's in heaven smiling down on all that she loved. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, cousin, neice and friend to all. She loved her family and friends very much. I pray that you all have peace during this time of sorrow. And know that I'm praying for you all. Love you guys dearly and Kay will be missed but will live forever in our hearts.
