I am deeply saddened by this late revelation, as I sat here reminiscing, and surfing the net, looking up old friends. I had misplaced Teresa's phone number, and had not been in touch for a few years. She used to call more than me, and over the last 32 years, the calls slowed down as our families got bigger, and time and life wore us down. I was always happy to hear from her, and to catch up, as Teresa was one of my "high school loves". We met in the summer of 1969, at the Ohio Youth Choir, and spend 3 magical weeks together (with 150 others) in Europe the summer of following year. We were not exactly a "thing", but we sure got along! Can you call it romance at 17 & 18? (I was 8 months younger than her) I remember a parkbench in Paris, overlooking the Eiffel Tower, and all the lights, and the street flower venders in Portugal, and Teresa hanging out of a hotel window, smiling down at me on the street. I know she kept some fond memories of that trip, and I will miss never having a conversation with her, on this earth, again. Maybe later. Greg

Mr and Mrs Mitchem, Albert, Pam, and Judy--this is truly a shock. I'm sorry I have not kept in touch over the years, but you know what, I can still hear Teresa's laugh. My thoughts and prayers are with you all--you have a very special place in my heart. Please make note of my email address, and get in touch when the time is right. Love, Dana.

I am back home in New Orleans and stil so saddened that I did not get to attend Teresa's funeral. I will always cherish the memories of her when you so often spent Easter with us attending church and hunting eggs. We also had very good times when we visited your home there in Ohio. I was so proud of her in the Marshall Marching Band. I remember bragging to my frends about that. I will plan a visit on up to Ohio this summer when in WV for the family reunion. Will see you then and go visit her grave with purple flowers and some Heinz!
Love and prayers to all of you,
Donna Marie

Dear Mitchem Family, We are so saddened to hear of Teresa's passing. It was just Oct. 14th that she called and sang Happy Birthday on my message machine. I had no idea from the sound of her voice that she was that ill. I have lost a very dear friend whom I have known since the second grade. She will be dearly missed by my Mother and me. Byron and Mary
