1922 - 2010
Earsley Mitchell, 88, of Proctorville, Ohio passed away Saturday December 18, 2010 in the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington. He was born March 7, 1922 in Huntington, WV to the late Frank James and Effie Adkins Mitchell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers Arthur and Hobert Mitchell and one sister Erma Black. He retired from Cabell County Board of Education and was a member and trustee of Huntington United Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife Naomi Wilkes Mitchell; three sisters Leila Myers, Alfreda Mitchell, and Faye Hicks all of Huntington, WV; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Wednesday December 22, 2010 at Hall Funeral Home by Pastor Gordon Simpson. Burial will follow in Miller Memorial Gardens Miller, Ohio. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday December 22, 2010 at Hall Funeral Home Proctorville, Ohio. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/hall.

My prayers are out to the family. i have known him from the time i was born. i lived on the ridge couple house down from him my whole life. he was GREAT person!! he wwill be missed n always b loved from alot of friends and family!!

The Lord has called you home Earse to your well deserved reward of Heaven. To be with Him in all His glory. Go forth and revel with Mom, Pop, your brothers and sister and your many friends including Diann who have awaited your arrival. We who are still hear will miss you but look forward to the day that we shall all meet on that beautiful shore together in all His glory. Till then.

Naomi,
I am so sorry for your loss. I always thought a lot of Mitch. He was a hard worker, trusting friend, and a great Guy to work with. I thought of him often and all the good times we had. I'll miss him, but know he is with the lord gives us peace. My Prayers are with you through this hard time

So sorry to hear of Mitch's passing. I remember him as a fellow employee at HEHS, and he was a great guy to work with.
