Donald Vaughn was 4 years younger than I am and I can recall many visits to our home and my family visiting his home. My father was a brother to his mother, my Aunt Myrtie Vaughn Graybeal.
Reading here about his life, I can also relate that Donald and I also shared similar events in his Military Services. I too was in the Navy, aboard the U.S.S. Wright CVL 49 aircraft carrier in the Korean Conflict War Zone.
I am sad to hear about his death but am sure about his eternal heavenly resting place in Heaven with our God. Donalds every day life reflected his future residence. May our Lord Jesus Christ bless and comfort all his family members as only God's presence can do at this time of your loss.

Donald Vaughn was a great grandpa to me, more like a father. He has always been there for me through every aspect of my life. He taught me to love God with all my heart no matter what comes my way. I have many great memories of him in my heart that will live on. He was a great man that was loved by everyone. I grew up knowing him as a God fearing man that would do anything for the Lord. I will miss him very much, but I know his legacy will live on. I know he is watching down on us and is now comforted.

I am so sorry to hear about your loved one. I do think Donald was a relative. My mother's name was Margaret (Vaughn) France, of South Point, Oh. It is really hard to give them up, but when you know they are going to be with the Lord it makes is a lot easier. Your family are in my prayers,Patty. Eplion.
