Carol J. Stephens, 75, of Chesapeake, Ohio passed away Monday January 10, 2011 in St. Mary's Medical Center. She was born August 4, 1935 in Lawrence County, Ohio, daughter of the late Leon L. and Laura Adkins Day. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Jerald E. Stephens and brother Leslie Day. She is survived by two daughters, Marilyn (Harold) Burns of Chesapeake, Ohio and Carolyn (James E.) Myers of Chesapeake, Ohio; three grandchildren Michael Burns, Melissa Taylor, and Steven Lambert; three great grandchildren Ian Burns, Zoey Burns, and Matthew Lambert; one brother Lloyd Day of Chesapeake; and one sister Maxine Cooper of Chesapeake, Ohio. A graveside service will be conducted 2:30 p.m. Friday January 14, 2011 at Centenary Cemetery Chesapeake, Ohio by Pastor Brady Lipscomb. Visitation will be held 1 to 2 p.m. Friday January 14, 2011 at Hall Funeral Home Proctorville, Ohio. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/hall.
