Ronald Litten Stapleton, 69, of Chesapeake, Ohio passed away Thursday, February 17, 2011 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington, WV. He was born August 3, 1941 in Proctorville, Ohio to the late Hayden and Emogene Gillette Stapleton. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother Bob Pine and one sister Faye Pine Ticknor. He is survived by his wife of 46 years Janet Heairld Stapleton; three sons Teddy (LaDonna) Stapleton of Chesapeake, Ohio, Eddie Stapleton of Myrtle Beach, SC and Daryl Stapleton of Chesapeake, Ohio; four grandchildren Justin Stapleton, Jessica Stapleton, Carrie Stapleton and Justin (Jess) Chapman; two great grandchildren Alexia Stapleton and Chris Chapman; one sister Mattie Pine Stapleton of Chesapeake, Ohio; two brothers Larry Stapleton of Chesapeake, Ohio and James Stapleton of Tucson, AZ; several nieces and nephews. He was a member of Apostolic Life Cathedral Church, Huntington, WV. He retired from Owens Illinois. Funeral services will be held 7 p.m. Monday, February 21, 2011 by Rev. E.S. Harper at Apostolic Life Cathedral Church, Huntington, WV. Burial will follow on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at Getaway Cemetery, Chesapeake, Ohio. Visitation will be held 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, February 21, 2011 at Apostolic Life Cathedral Church, Huntington, WV. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/hall.
