Lowell Franklin MillerLowell Franklin Miller, 72, of North Augusta, SC formerly of Chesapeake, Ohio husband of Peggy Miller of 50 years, went to be with his Holy Father on February 16, 2011 at University Hospital in Augusta, GA. The family will receive friends at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio on Monday, February 21, 2011 from 6 to 8 pm. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at 2 p.m. by Pastor D.L. Webb at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens, South Point, Ohio. Mr. Lowell was born on May 5, 1938 to Victor Thane and Gladys Marie Miller in Chesapeake, Ohio where he lived, attended and graduated in 1956 from Chesapeake High School. He served in the US Navy from 1956 until 1960, when he met the love of his life and soul mate, Peggy Liston. They were married and had three beautiful and great children who were always the love and life of his heart. He worked at Novamont Corp in Kenova, WV until 1974 when they moved to North Augusta, SC. Lowell went to work for Continental Can Company, which later became Federal Paper Board and after 32 years of service, he retired in 2006 from what is now called International Paper Company. Additional survivors include two sons, Carl Miller and his wife Catherine of Washington, GA and Mark Miller and his wife Lisa of North Augusta, SC; one daughter, Connie Miller Fulop and her husband Vic of North Augusta, SC; three grandsons, Jason Stewart and his wife Vicki and Dustin Stewart all of North Augusta, SC, and Lowell Nathaniel Nathan Stewart and his wife Brittany of Lugoff, SC; three granddaughters, Jewell Ann Miller and Marie Miller both of North Augusta, SC , and Michelle Miller of Washington, GA; one great granddaughter, Ansley Stewart of North Augusta, SC; one great grandson, Lowell Aiden Stewart to be born in June; several nieces and nephews of which he loved and thought of often; his mother-in-law, Cleona Liston of Chesapeake, OH who he loved like a mother; three sisters-in law, Sandra Liston Roy and her husband Richard of South Point, OH, Connie Combs, and Aileen Smith and her husband David all of Huntington, WV; and two brothers-in law, Clayton Liston and his wife Marilyn of Marienville, PA and Richard Liston and his wife Patricia of Huntington, WV. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Victor Edward Miller; one sister, Mary Alice Scaggs; and one brother-in-law, Robert Liston. Peggy, my mom let me know about Lowell's passing...I know it is a hard time to go thru but Lowell is in a better place along with my dad...even tho we live far apart you all were special people in my life...God bless the family and love to you, Ruthie
