Delores Jane Brizendine Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1929 - 2011 Delores Jane Brizendine, 81, of Huntington, WV. loving mother, grandmother and widow of William H. Brizendine, went to be with our Lord on Sunday, February 20, 2011. She was born in Huntington on December 26, 1929 to the late Willard and Lula Madden. She leaves behind two sons Herbert L. (Linda) Brizendine and Timothy V. (Kelli) Brizendine; two daughters Darlene Hoover and Gloria Mannon; seven grandchildren, Kristen Carver, Matthew (Lisa) Brizendine, Nicholas (Kelly) Brizendine, Jason Mannon, Chase Brizendine, Brandon Brizendine, Amber Brizendine; five great grandchildren Lynn-Marie Carver, Jared Carver, Owen Brizendine, Zoe Brizendine, Izabella Carver; one great-great grandson Elijah David Graham; one brother James (Eva) Madden; three sisters Lola Jones, Pearl Morgan and Sara Betts. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Thursday, February 24, 2011 at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio by Pastor Frank Brizendine. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, Ohio. Visitation will be held 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/hall.

To the family of Delores, I was so sorry to hear of the passing of your mother! It's been about 27 years since the last time we spoke, but I will always remember her kindness. I lived across the street from her for a short time! I have lived in many states and even another country. Your Dad used to call me little Helen because I looked so much like my mother. My mother is Mary Combs Brizendine's only sister, so I remember you girls, Gloria and Darlene! God bless all of you, I will keep you in my prayers! Claudia Turley Bott

I have many good memories of Aunt Delores. I will be there tonight and hopefully for her funeral. She will be missed! She was a truly wonderful soul! Connie Zirkle
