Leonard Russell Scott, 87, of The Woodlands Huntington, WV. , formerly of Proctorville, Ohio passed away Sunday, March 13, 2011 at Woodlands Retirement Community Health Care, Huntington, WV. He was born July 24, 1923 in Forest Hills, WV son of the late William A. and Nellie Allen Scott. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Robert W. Scott. He was former co-owner of Commercial Refrigeration. He was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church, Proctorville, Ohio and a WWII Army veteran serving in Europe. He was an avid Marshall University supporter and fan. Leonard is survived by his church family and host of many friends. He was able to touch the lives of many people with his gentle quite nature and caring attitude. He will be greatly missed by those that knew him. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio by Pastor Dwayne Shugert. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, Ohio.
