Gail Holland, 81, of Huntington, passed away Saturday March 12, 2011, at Huntington Health and Rehabilitation. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm Thursday at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Pastor Jerry Matt. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. She was born July 14, 1929, in Logan, WV a daughter of the late William and Loretta Plumley Brooks. She was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, Gail was preceded in death by a son Mitchell Davis; five brothers William Brooks, Byrd Brooks, Alfred Brooks, Charles Brooks and Pete Brooks and two sisters Bettty Frazier and Helen Waye Hardin. Survivors include three sons Tommy Davis of Lakeland, Florida, Richard D. Holland of South Point, Ohio and Joe D. Holland and Sylvia Borrmann of Huntington, WV; two daughters and a son in law Loretta Parker of Lakeland, FL and Stephanie and John Johnson of Huntington, WV; two grandsons Brent Johnson and Alexandros Holland; two brothers and sisters in law Raymond and Margie Brooks and August and Norma Brooks and several nieces and nephews. Joe & Stephanie, I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your mother. you will always be in my thoughts and prayers. I am so glad that i got to meet and spend alot of time with her. I enjoyed every minute of it. We had lots of long talks together around the kitchen table. So glad to have those memories. I will be thinking of you both.
