Greg was a great father in law and I don't know what to do without him. I feel lost when I go over there. Isaiah talks about papaw dogg all the time. The other day he said that papa dogg was dancing and stood up on the table to show us how, it was amazong and made us feel like he was there. I feel bad for Jeff bc today if his first day back at work and his daddy's not there, not physically anywas but he is in jeffs heart and I know he's watchin over Jeff and all of us. We love ya pops!

Husband, dad, son, Paw Paw, brother, uncle, friend, dogg, booger- Uncle Greg was many things to many people- but was always himself. Judy Garland once said that it's better to be a first rate version of yourself, rather than a second rate version of someone else. No one did this better than my uncle Greg.
Uncle Greg in his camo gear, with a mischievous gleam in his eye, and a large grin on his face, loved to tease and joke. Unapologetically ornery, uncle Greg was truly one of a kind. When I was a kid, and acted up, or pouted- uncle Greg would say two things to me- the first " quit bein hateful Kristi Nicole" the second- "quit your whinin". As I got older, uncle Greg still said these things to me, often jokingly. It was good advice- don't be hateful and quit whining, and if more people followed it, the world would be a better place. Although he often teased, uncle Greg would do anything for his family. He was the guy who, without hesitation, would call up elementary principals to let them know his niece was trying to get a job, or the guy who helped you move furniture or help you out with a job around the house
He was the guy who when I was little, threatened to bust my butt when I acted up, just like I was his own. And I'm pretty sure he would have done it too.
He was the guy who loved going fishing and hunting, smoking, pepsi, teasing. He was the guy who will always be loved! Miss you Uncle Dogg!

I worked with Greg and Dwayne at Pilgrim Glass. Dwayne called me to tell me of Greg's passing. I began to cry. Though I have not seen him since, I will deeply miss him. He was a great man and always had a smile and made me laugh. Dwayne and I had just talked on Facebook the other day about Tara Blinn and Rick Defoe and Greg and Dwayne and myself going fishing this summer at Beech Fork. I am very sad to know this will not happen, I was looking forward to the gang getting together again. I have some pictures of Greg at Pilgrim and would be more than happy to make copies and send them if you are interested. I am deeply sorry for your loss he will be greatly missed.

You were more than just a good friend to me, you were like a brother. My heart breaks for Ann and the kids and grandkids and poor Oscar that worked with you every day. What a void in our hearts and in our every day life. You will be missed my friend. The old saying.."Dog is a man's best friend"....well, this Dog was my best friend.
Love ya Dog!
