Frankie Mae WallaceFrankie Mae Wallace, 78, of Proctorville, Ohio, widow of Paul Edward Wallace, was reunited in Heaven with her mother Nellie Kathleen Day Canterbury on Saturday March 19, 2011 after a brief battle with cancer. She was born on December 26, 1932 in Huntington, WV. In addition to her husband and mother, she was preceded in death by her step-father Oval Lee Day Sr., step-father Orville (Totsy) Canterbury; son Darrell Lee Wallace; brothers Oval Lee Day Jr. and Thurman Day; and a sister Donna Jean Day. Surviving is her daughter Paula Wallace (Jerry) Rice of Proctorville; son Greg (Karen) Wallace of Hurricane, WV; four grandsons Brock (Jen) Lutz of Brooklyn, Ohio, Eric (Kerri) Wallace of Proctorville, Paul Wallace of Huntington, and Brad (Shelley) Rice of Raleigh, NC; four granddaughters Tonya Aldridge of Proctorville, Tamara Hutchinson of Hebron, KY, Angie (Jarrod) Cummins of Independence, KY, and Lorie Wallace of Parkersburg, WV; 17 great grandchildren and her first great-great grandchild will be born in July. Surviving siblings are Paul (Carol) Day of Dayton, Ohio, Bill (Wilma) Day of Walton, KY, Larry (Beth) Day of Chesapeake, Ohio, Linda Pike of Chesapeake, Ohio, Phyllis (Harry) Brady of Proctorville, Charles Day of Chesapeake, Ohio and Bob (Dianne) Day of Chesapeake, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews, and one aunt Virginia Pinkerton of Huntington, all whom she loved very much. She was a member of Big Branch Church and a volunteer and officer of the Chesapeake Community Mission Outreach for over 25 years. She was named Hometown Hero in 1997 and was a member of Ladies Auxiliary Proctorville VFW Post #6878. A funeral service celebrating her life will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday March 23, 2011 at Hall Funeral Home by Randy Henderson. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery Proctorville, Ohio. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday March 22, 2011 at Hall Funeral Home Proctorville, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Community Mission Outreach, 3748 State Route 7, Chesapeake, Ohio 45619. The family would like thank Hospice for the tenderly cared they gave Frankie, especially Becky, Lisa, Yanet, and Denise. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com.hall.

im sorry for your loss paula and the rest of you i think you guys suffered a big loss no words can describe who she was a good person and a great friend and mother i love you paula and if you need to talk to anybody that has experience then u know where i am my house school and church LOVE YALL hope you guys get through this pretty well

to are friends and my best friend who I will miss so much. God took a rose from earth and took her home to set on his left side to put his arms around her and to tell her it was time to rest. Eric, Paul, Paula, Greg, et all, I am sorry for your loss. Frankie was a wonderful woman whom I adored and respected. I looked at her as a grandmother to me too. She never had a harsh word to say. She looked at life optimistically. The world will be a little sadder without her in it.
